This focus group, as part of the Eritrean Research Institute for Policy and Strategy (ERIPS), is a platform for Eritrean Healthcare and Social Service professionals. Its primary mission is to promote collaboration in researching the healthcare and social service needs, design strategies and formulate policies to provide leadership and guidance to the next generation so as to address unmet needs in Eritrea.
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS (STEM)
The Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) Focus Group of the Eritrean Research Institute for Policy and Strategy (ERIPS) fosters the application of STEM-related fields towards improving the quality of Eritrean lives. It will also serve as a platform for Eritrean professionals and scholars in the STEM area to research policies and strategies to provide leadership and guidance to advance development and justice in Eritrea. The STEM focus group objectives are:
1.Building a platform for nurturing, attracting, and promoting STEM Eritrean professionals to enhance Eritrean human capital.
2. To support members by providing a platform for networking opportunities and exchanging ideas, knowledge, and experience.
3. To actively promote the STEM fields’ application to find sustainable solutions to better Eritrean lives and enable a hopeful and prosperous Eritrea.
As part of ERIPS, the Focus Group will strive to bring together Eritrean scholars and professionals and conduct short and long term studies pertaining to the economic and business conditions in Eritrea, and prepare blueprints that could assist policy-makers in post-PFDJ era to formulate economic development policies.
Education (formal, informal and non-formal) is an inalienable human right which lies at the heart of sustained national development and improved standard of living. Hence, the Education and Training Focus Group aims to assist ERIPS to become a Center of Excellence in multi-disciplinary research, educational training, knowledge transfer, and development-oriented education.
POLITICAL SCIENCE, GOVERNMENT & PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION
The Political Science, Government & Public Administration is a Focus Group within the Eritrean Research Institute for Policy and Strategy (ERIPS) working to tackle today’s most pressing injustice in Eritrea and avert possible future political challenges. The Focus Group researches, and analyzes political and administrative issues affecting all Eritreans and reframes the conversation with a perspective of equal justice for all, through policy and strategy insights that it shares with people eager to make informed decisions.
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS & RESPONSE
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS & RESPONSE FOCUS GROUP is a task force within the umbrella of Eritrean Research Institute for Policy and Strategy (ERIPS) and is mandated to create platform, encourage rapprochement between and among different Eritrean political and civic organizations; researching, design strategies and formulate policies to provide leadership and guidance so as to facilitate change in Eritrea.
Media, Advocacy and Awareness is a Focus Group within the Eritrean Research Institute for Policy and Strategy working to create collaboration among Eritreans and friends of Eritreans to overcome current and future problems in Eritrea through empowerment of Eritrean citizens. This Focus Group researches and analyzes mechanisms for effective communication and informs Eritreans through interviews and publications.
The Law, Public Safety and Security Focus Group aims to identify and research the most critical legal, public safety and security challenges that currently grapple Eritrea. The Focus Group further strives to bring together people with specialized knowledge on Law, Public Safety and Security to brainstorm, develop strategies and advise stakeholders and policy makers with the objective to build a constitutional system in Eritrea, which ensures the well-being of Eritreans and safe-keeps the whole nation of Eritrea.
